Join us on our seven-day eXtreme Surfing Adventure, and surf pristine and uncrowded waves on the Gulf of Alaska. This adventure starts in Sitka, and focuses on several breaks near Sea Lion Cove on Kruzof Island. Depending upon wind and swell direction, there are rights, lefts, point and beach breaks. You’ll surf under the shadow of the extinct volcano Mt. Edgecomb, with one of the most dramatic backdrops in the world.

Exploration adventures are possible, where we'll search for undiscovered and unridden waves aboard the Kirsten Anne, a luxurious 49' sailboat operated by our captain Neil Nickerson, and Alaska Sailing Charters.
Big waves can be expected during our April and October dates, but other dates and lessons can be arranged for summer fun. This sailboat offers an outstanding platform from which to launch your eXtreme adventure, and a nice warm place to relax after daily sessions. On our journey, we will experience the heritage of Russian colonial Alaska, an incredible array of wildlife, and the breathtaking scenery of the Inside Passage. The crew will pamper you, while the captain manoeuvres the Kirsten Anne to put you in the best breaks. Surfers of any ability will never forget their adventure aboard this handsome boat.

The rugged Alaska coast offers the wave hunter limitless opportunities for uncrowded, pristine surf. Storms crossing the North Pacific and Gulf of Alaska spawn swells that spend their energy on the hidden bays and rock reefs of this wonderland. Whether you surf, body board, kayak, kite or wind surf, the line-up is yours. Spring and fall offer the potential for plenty of overhead days, while summer can be clean and fun.
In addition to surf, enjoy the astonishing beauty of Southeast Alaska, home to eagles, black and brown bears, gray whales and humpback whales, orcas, deer, mountain goats, stellar sea lions, sea otters, porpoises and harbor seals.

Every day, we'll look for several breaks which form on the outer coast. Depending upon wind and swell direction, there are rights, lefts, point and beach breaks. We’ll surf under the shadow of the extinct volcano Mt. Edgecomb, with one of the most dramatic backdrops in the world. Exploration adventures are possible, where we'll search for undiscovered and unridden waves.
At the end of each long day, we're back aboard the Kirsten Anne, cruising into Kalinin Bay, where the sounds of crashing waves, breathing whales and screeching eagles drift in, across the evening calm. Beautiful, remote and protected from outer waters, Kalinin Bay is pristine and serene. We'll take in the magnificent vistas, enjoy a great meal of fresh Alaskan seafood, and share stories of each day's adventure while enjoying a cold Alaskan beer.
